Wheelchair Basketball
In August 2018, Digby Brown announced a new partnership with basketball Scotland, supporting Wheelchair Basketball here in Scotland.
Basketball Scotland is the national governing body for basketball in Scotland and they believe that sport can change lives and inspire communities.
This organisation is dedicated to giving wheelchair users back their independence and improving their well-being.
Digby Brown and Wheelchair Basketball
As part of our involvement with Wheelchair Basketball, we supported their 2018 Wheelchair Basketball Invitational tournament and will be supporting their development of 3x3 wheelchair basketball through a series of ‘come and try’ sessions and festivals across Scotland in 2021.
Tina Gordon, Disability Talent and Pathways Manager at Basketball Scotland: “The team at basketball Scotland are really looking forward to working closely with Digby Brown as the sport continues to go from strength-to-strength.”
At Digby Brown, we are fully committed to helping people after a spinal cord injury and are proud to support sports such as Wheelchair Basketball and Caledonian Crushers along with our long term commitment to charity Spinal Injuries Scotland.
