Digby Brown has been one of the success stories of the Scottish legal sector of the past decade – we now operate in seven regional areas across Scotland, having tripled in size in the last 11 years.
We are top ranked by the two global legal watchdogs (Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500) for personal injury work. Chambers & Partners has awarded us Band 1 for nineteen years while The Legal 500 has ranked Digby Brown as a Tier 1 firm for fifteen years.
Digby Brown has also been voted Scottish Law Firm of the Year first in 2015 then again in 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2022, been repeatedly recognised with multiple awards for its charitable efforts and retained its Platinum accreditation as a leading employer by Investors in People (IiP) for three successive terms.
We have a reputation as a formidable firm for two reasons: the expertise and bar-raising results of our people, as well as the way they tenaciously investigate and litigate civil actions, and the quality of service delivered to our clients, as evidenced in our legal rankings, awards, and public feedback platforms.
Digby Brown works in a distinctive way but what we do works and truly makes a difference to people’s lives – and that is why what we do matters.
We innovate continuously across Digby Brown to support the quality of service we provide to our clients, and our people’s personal development. To that end, we have been operating from a brand-new digital case management platform for over 18 months now. This lends itself well to fast-paced technology change, where it sits at the heart of what we stand for. Working closely together, we have solicitors and technology staff co-designing and delivering industry leading innovation on a regular basis. As a result, the underlying technology we have carefully nurtured provides the best available tools to our solicitors to support them to deliver industry leading client services.
In addition, the events surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic have enabled us to implement a more flexible working approach moving forward, which we are calling Hybrid Working. This will enable our people to split their working time between their homes and the office, on a pre-agreed number of days per week, in line with the needs of their department.
