Janthia McCourt

Janthia McCourt joined the firm in 2025. She is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde having obtained a Bachelor of Law and Diploma in Legal Practice. 

She joined Digby Brown from the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry where she worked as an experienced statement taker preparing evidence for public hearings. She is also an experienced litigator having worked as a criminal defence solicitor in the Sheriff Court.

Janthia is a solicitor who works within the Non-Accidental Injury Team. She specialises in cases of historic abuse and non-accidental claims.

Janthia is keen to use the knowledge and experience that she gained at the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry and as a criminal defence solicitor to help victims of non-accidental injury to claim the financial redress they deserve.
