Head Injury Information Days 2017 in Glasgow and Edinburgh
For the past several years, Digby Brown have been organising and running Head Injury Information Days – free one-day events for people affected by all types of acquired brain injury and head injury, their families and carers and professionals working in the field.
May 2017 will see Head Injury Information Days held in West Central Scotland and Edinburgh and Lothians.
Thousands of people have attended the events, which have been held across Scotland and brought together dozens of organisations providing a wide range of advice, support and services to people living with an acquired brain or head injury in Scotland.
Head Injury Information Days are completely free and open to all.
Kathleen McMonagle is Digby Brown’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manger and organiser of the Head Information Days. Kathleen is encouraging anyone affected by a head or brain injury to come along to one of the 2017 days;
“Head or brain injuries can sometimes be a hidden disability which can leave people feeling vulnerable or isolated. It doesn’t have to be like this and no-one has to live with this type of injury alone. There are lots of organisations out there who can provide life-changing help, support and advice.
“Head Injury Information Days are free, fun and informative. There will be lots of organisations in attendance on each of the days. I am particularly excited about holding our first day in Edinburgh and the Lothians this year.
“I would really encourage anyone living with a head or brain injury, or with an interest in this field, to come along. We look forward to welcoming you.”
