Glasgow office hard at work for charity Simon Community Scotland

Helping at Simon Community Scotland's warehouse

Our Glasgow staff kindly donated their Saturday to help their local charity partner for 2018, Simon Community Scotland.

Simon Community Scotland are a charity based in Glasgow and their mission is to combat the causes and effects of homelessness. Part of this includes offering accommodation and supplying much needed items such as clothing and food.

Our Glasgow team went along to their warehouse on Saturday 21st April at 10am. This is where all donations are stored and from here it needs to be sorted and re-distributed to the homeless.

They receive a variety of donations including clothing, food items, toiletries, sleeping bags and even homeware products.

Our volunteers sorted through the donations, either storing them away in the right place, so they can be allocated to someone who has requested a specific item or used for a starter pack.

In addition to helping them at their warehouse, our Glasgow office also raffled off a four-ball at Crieff Hydro Golf Club, raising £100 for the charity.

And it didn’t stop there. They also put on a charity bake sale on Friday 20th April, raising a further £192.75.

The charity said “Can't thank you guys enough. Much needed help and you've put in an amazing effort. Thanks.”
