Edinburgh marketing manager conquers the Glen Ogle Ultra Marathon to raise money for The Yard

We are always inspired by the challenges our staff take on to raise money for their office charity partners and the latest fundraiser is no exception.
Earlier this month, Natasha from our Edinburgh office ran the Glen Ogle 33 Ultra Marathon tackling the mammoth 53km journey to raise funds for the Edinburgh office’s charity partner, The Yard.
At the start of this year, Natasha had never ran further than a half marathon (21.1km), but she decided to challenge herself to complete an ultra marathon by the end of the year. She spent months training, even running her first-ever marathon as a training run just a few weeks before the race day.
On race day, she powered through the scenic yet demanding route from Killin to Strathyre, finishing in just under eight hours.
Reflecting on the experience, Natasha said: “It was, without a doubt, the toughest physical challenge I’ve ever faced.
“There were countless moments when I felt like stopping, but I kept going and crossed the finish line with immense pride for the amount of money I had raised for a fantastic charity.”
The Yard offers a hub for families of disabled children and young people, providing support, connection, and a place to belong.
Natasha raised an incredible £583 which will be matched by the firm and donated to The Yard.
Well done to Natasha for this incredible achievement!
