Ayr team raise over £6000 for Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation
All of our offices across Scotland have chosen local charity partners to help in their community. Our local teams work throughout the year to highlight the work of these fantastic organisations and raise vital funds to support their work.
Throughout 2016, our Ayr office’s local charity partner was The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation. The team were delighted to recently present a cheque for over £6,000, money raised through a wide range of challenges and activities.
The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation was set up in 2010 by Kilmarnock based Grant and Adrienne Currie, after daughter, Lauren died from Wegener’s Granulomatosis, a form of the auto-immune disease vasculitis.
The charity is dedicated to national Vasculitis awareness, education, research and patient support within the UK, running support groups throughout Scotland, an online forum and funding a respite cabin in the Highlands.
2016 saw our Ayr team take part in a series of events, including running the Vasculitis Awareness 5k at Kilmarnock’s Dean Castle Country Park last summer.
Our Ayr team met with Grant Currie to present the cheque. Grant thanked the team for all their efforts over the last year in support of the charity.
Everyone at Digby Brown wishes the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation every success as it continues its vital, life-changing work in the future.
